Overview 
Mount Marty University is pleased to accept applicants for an Assistant Volleyball Coach. This is an exempt, part-time position and must adhere to the regulations stipulated in the Mount Marty University Staff Handbook.  The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach with practice preparation, scouting, recruiting, scheduling of games, and other various athletic activities.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Review of the program and student athlete achievement for improvement of coaching methods and procedures
  • Sustain a roster of high quality and competency
  • Maintenance of official athletic documentation
  • Represent the university at appropriate community and sporting events
  • Assignments issued by the head coach which may include t are not limited to:
    • Recruiting student athletes
    • Scouting games
    • Practice preparation
    • Transportation arrangements
    • Updating statistics
    • Scheduling of games and practices

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
Experience in coaching high school or college athletics
