Rocky Mountain College, an NAIA member institution, member of the Frontier Conference and associate member of the Cascade Collegiate Conference, is accepting applications from qualified candidates for the role of Head Coach of the Bears Cheer program. This position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the success of the cheer program, Department of Athletics, and Rocky Mountain College. The head coach’s roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop and implement training plans focused on skill development, safety, and
- Lead practices, choreography sessions, and game-day
- Maintain a safe training environment and enforce risk-management
- Mentor student-athletes in academic progress, personal conduct, and
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented
- Identify, recruit, and retain qualified student-athletes aligned with institutional
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and communication
- Manage program budget, purchasing, and financial procedures in accordance with college
- Coordinate travel arrangements, itineraries, and event
- Supervise assistant coaches, volunteers, and student
- Ensure adherence to college, conference, and national governing-body
- Participate in departmental meetings, campus events, and community
- Collaborate with athletics staff and campus partners to support program

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited
- Prior coaching experience in cheer, dance, or a related athletic
- Knowledge of safety standards, stunt regulations, and conditioning
- CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain upon
- Collegiate-level coaching
- Experience supervising staff or student
- Certification through NAIA rules and policies
