The Head Coach plays a vital role in upholding Warner University’s Christ-centered mission by modeling a faith-driven lifestyle and fostering spiritual growth among athletes and staff. This position oversees all aspects of the athletic program, including recruitment, retention, and academic success of student-athletes. The coach ensures compliance with NAIA, NCCAA, and Sun Conference regulations, promotes academic and spiritual development, while upholding the NAIA Champions of Character Core Values.
Key responsibilities include mentoring student-athletes, hiring and supervising assistant coaches, developing competitive schedules, designing effective training strategies, and managing team operations. The coach collaborates with university departments, oversees budget, management of scholarships, and ensures proper team conduct and eligibility. Additionally, the role involves coordinating community service initiatives, maintaining athletic facilities, and fostering a positive team culture. The Head Coach reports to the Athletic Director and actively participates in department meetings and university events while performing other duties as assigned.
