Head Women’s Basketball Coach

The Head Women’s Basketball Coach is responsible for the overall leadership, development, and success of the women’s basketball program. This includes tactical preparation, fiscal management, recruitment of student-athletes, and ensuring the program aligns with the university’s mission of academic and athletic excellence.

  • Oversee all aspects of the women’s basketball program, including practice planning and game-day management.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategic visions for program growth and competitive success.
  • Recruit high-caliber student-athletes who meet the academic and athletic standards of Westcliff University.
  • Manage the program budget, including travel, equipment, and scholarship allocations.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant coaching staff and graduate assistants.
  • Ensure full compliance with NAIA and university regulations.
  • Monitor and support the academic progress and retention of student-athletes.
  • Handles other projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • CPR/AED Certification
  • Minimum 1 years of experience coaching Women’s Basketball in the college atmosphere or equivalent experience (competing or managing at an elite level) in a related field.
  • Knowledge of the NAIA’s rules, expectations, and procedures, specifically within Women’s Basketball.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage Women’s Basketball staff and students

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree
  • 1 years of experience coaching Women’s Basketball at the college level within the NAIA.

Employees must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license in order to travel to and from practices and home competitions.

 

Salary Description
$70,669 – $77,250
