Job Overview: MidAmerica Nazarene University, a premier Christian University located in Olathe, KS is seeking applications for the position of Head Women’s Basketball Coach. This is a full time, 12-month position. Candidates should exemplify the principles, guidelines and covenants of MidAmerica Nazarene University and possess experience in administration at the intercollegiate level. In addition, candidates should possess leadership skills, demonstrate a commitment to the highest ideals of sportsmanship and academics, as well as developing and maintaining a positive student-athlete experience. Candidates for the above position should possess a commitment to Christian higher education, model servant leadership, and be willing to assume the duties listed in the following general position description.
Responsibilities include coaching and instructing student-athletes, planning practices and training programs, monitoring academic progress toward graduation, and providing guidance on academic, personal, and disciplinary matters.
The role ensures student-athlete safety and compliance with health requirements, recruits and retains qualified student-athletes, manages the program budget and fundraising, and represents the athletic department at events while supporting community service and leadership initiatives.
