This position serves as the assistant, sports information with a focus on communication. This role will be responsible for helping the Coordinator, Sports Information  in managing the Athletics Website, Athletics Social Media pages, and streamlining communication between New College of Florida and other NAIA/Sun Conference institutions.

Examples of Duties

The Sports Information Assistant will assist the Sports Information Coordinator in the managing of the New College of Florida athletics website. Duties include the upkeep of player/team information, posting schedules and rosters for each varsity program, and managing website content/stories for all athletic teams.

The Sports Information Assistant will also help in coordinating and scheduling student workers during office hours, and game days. This position will be the direct contact for student workers helping in the communications field, and will oversee student workers helping in the communication field.

The Sports Information Assistant assists the Sports Information Coordinator in the communication between New College of Florida and other NAIA/Sun Conference institutions. Duties include sharing game day information with opponents, sharing NAIA stat files with other institutions SIA’s, and sharing broadcast links via the website and direct email with opposing schools.

The Sports Information Assistant for communication will assist the SIC in the management of all New College Athletics broadcasts for each home event.

This role will be responsible for directing all NCF broadcasts, with roles including the set-up of broadcasting equipment, directing all NCF livestreams on the Sun Conference Networks, building stream overlays, and other responsibilities.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of appropriate experience, including experience with SideArm sports and social media pages.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with BlueFrame technologies, experience with cameras and other streaming equipment, and experience directing/managing a game day livestream.
