Position Summary:
Culver-Stockton College is seeking a dynamic and experienced Strength and Conditioning Coach to lead our athletic program. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of design, implementation, and supervision of training programs for assigned teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance individual and team performance.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to student-athletes.
- Foster a positive and competitive environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Collaborate with supervisors to manage the assigned budgets appropriately.
- Schedule the areas that you supervise.
- Oversee student workers and validate their hours.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required with a Master’s Degree preferred.
- Must have CSCS certification from the National Strength & Conditioning Association and/or NSCA; CSCS; CSCCA; SCCC; USAW.
- Must have certifications in First Aid (ARC), CPR (ARC or AHA), and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) or be able to get certifications within 6 months of employment.
- Must have Knowledge of the principles of strength and conditioning programming, resistance and weight training principles, techniques, equipment, and must have effective organizational, personnel supervision, and communication skills.
- Experience working at the college level is preferred.
- Must have the ability to work effectively with students and colleagues and have a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education.
- Experience working with diverse individuals and groups.
- PC skills including, but not limited to, word processing and spreadsheets, knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, Internet, and e-mail.
